I love making these diy melt and pour donut soaps, they are super easy, look and smell delicious and you can personalize them any way you want! Give as a fun gift or keep them for yourself. I use them as fun, decorative guest soap.
What You’ll Need:
- Melt and pour soap (any white soap base) ( I get mine from Michael’s Crafts)
- Soap colourant (also from Michael’s Crafts)
- Silicone donut mold (Michael’s, Walmart, Amazon)
- Gingerbread man silicone mold (optional addition. Find it on aliexpress, amazon) I mixed in a tiny bit of unsweetened cocoa powder to colour)
- Essential oils or skin safe fragrance oil ( I used peppermint and vanilla essential oil for these to make them wintery)
- Pyrex glass measuring bowl (or any microwavable container that will be easy to pour from)
- Mixing spoon
- Silver sugar sprinkles (optional)
Let’s Make The Soap:
- The amount you melt at a time will depend on how many donuts you want to make
- I used approx 1/2 cup chopped up white melt and pour base
- Melt in the microwave for 30 second intervals, until completely melted (it doesn’t take long)
- Then add the desired amount of soap colouring and mix in your essential oils (10 drops per donut but it also depends on your preference)
- Next pour into the donut mold and let cool (30 mins to be safe)
- After you de-mold the donut, comes the fun part…decorating!
- For the drizzle you will melt a small amount of the melt and pour soap base and then drizzle it slowly back and forth onto your donut, sprinkle with some sugar sprinkles if you want and let it sit again to completely set.
There you have it, easy melt and pour donut soap ready to gift or enjoy!
