It’s a combo of psychology and understanding the way our perception and mind interact with our universe to create the reality we see around us. So if it isn’t magic, what is the meaning of manifestation?

Personally, this helps me take a step back from the woo-woo definition manifestation has taken on. When we think in terms of science, we are energy and energy attracts like energy. Here are some tips to boost your positive energy so you can attract more positive energy.
So if you are expressing happy energy, you will display happiness in your life and that will come back expressed in your outer reality. When you are happy, you have a happy perspective on things, and the same for negative emotions.
When you’re in a bad mood already, why is it that everything else in your day seems to go wrong?
I honestly never really “got it” until I listened to Dr. Joe Dispenza and read various articles about the science behind our emotions and how our thoughts and emotions shape our perspective of the world around us.
The power of your mind is an amazing thing. Here’s a video of Dr. Joe Dispenza talking about the power of our mindset and how we can shift our realities by becoming the master of our own minds.

Learn what the manifestation really is:
The meaning of manifestation is having something come into materialization.
It’s not saying “I am a millionaire” and waking up the next morning with a million dollars in your bank account. Manifesting the life you want is something you need to put work into.
What people believe to be true, is true for them. If you tell yourself you are stuck in a job that you can’t get out of and you’ll only ever make X amount of dollars per year, and you can’t afford nice things etc., that is what will be true for your life, and your outer reality will reflect those beliefs, until you decide to make real changes.
The meaning of manifestation really is getting aligned with the mindset of the person you want to be, showing up like you are already that person (taking aligned action towards what you want), being consistent and persistent.
You must prepare for your manifestation:
Florence Scovell Shinn explains this as “digging your ditches” you must prepare yourself and show that you are prepared and ready for that life you want to create.
If you want something, you must first prepare for it’s arrival and have faith that it will arrive when it is the perfect time.
I like to think of this as a test You need to prove that you truly are ready for what you want in your life.
You need to embody the version of you that already has what you want. Limiting beliefs will stop you in your tracks. If you don’t believe you are worthy or that it’s possible for you, it won’t be.
Example:
If you want to “manifest” your soulmate, but you think you can just write it in a manifestation journal and wait on your couch…he will not show up, knocking on your door.
Ask yourself how you would feel if you had your soulmate? Would you feel confident, happy and excited? How would you dress, where would you go on dates? You certainly wouldn’t be meeting this dreamy person on your couch.
Don’t put pressure, desperation or anxiety on what you want. Everything happens in natural, perfect timing, when things just seemingly “fall into place”.
You have to embody this person you want to be, let go of expectation and need and and get out there for your “manifestation” to materialize.
Truth About Manifestation:
I think there are some misconceptions around the term manifestation. Skeptics and people who don’t fully understand the concept sometimes think that it’s saying something and then it magically appears for you.
Truth is, we are all manifesting our realities at all times. What we believe to be true and our perceptions of ourselves, others and the world around us have been shaped by past experiences, things we were told as children.
This is why everyone sees the world differently, no one has the exact same experiences as you and therefore we all see things from a different lense.
GOOD NEWS is just because we think, feel or perceive something, doesn’t mean it is 100 % true. Also, we are in control of deciding how we want to feel, think, and ultimately perceive the world around us.
We MUST get rid of limiting beliefs, become aware of our unhelpful thought patterns that have created our current reality and learn how to shift our mindset.
Commonly Asked Questions Related to The Meaning of Manifestation:
Here is my take on some commonly asked questions about manifestation:
How do I start manifesting?
Truth is you are always manifesting your reality. Your current life was created by previous thoughts and emotional patterns. Although you cannot change the past, the good news is you can choose today what you want for your future.
It is challenging to rewire the way you think and feel but if it was easy, everyone would do it. If you are reading this you clearly have what it takes to create the reality you want!
Start taking control of your thoughts and feelings in order to start intentionally manifesting what you do want.
The main concept is that if you can change the way you think and feel, you can change what you attract into your life.
What are different ways to manifest?
There are lots of different “techniques” to intentionally manifest. Some of these include:
- The 369 Method
- 5×55 Method
- Scripting
- Vision boards
- Affirmations
- Visualization
As previously mentioned, it’s not about any of these techniques being some magical answer to getting what you want, these methods will only help you to align your feelings, thoughts, emotions and actions with what you want.
You still need to do the work, rewire the way you think and feel and take aligned action to getting what you want. What you truly believe to be true, is true for you.
If these methods seem a little too out there for you and you don’t really believe in them, then they won’t work for you.
